WIW zap's max and mia dots and a Q

Thanks Zap for showing us your dotty sweater. Of course it had to be mine!! This is not a k/r. I am already at work enjoying it.

Question for you all! Should the top underneath be buttoned or unbuttoned?

Y: buttoned

N: unbuttoned

All comments and suggestions welcomed!!

Do I have to choose? Both are great options, but buttoned seems to be more on trend. Gorgeous sweater!

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

And Nordie's just gave me a price adjustment. I <3 that store!!

  • MNsara replied 11 years ago

Either way looks good to me. I agree the buttoned up IS more on trend, but when I can feel the collar AT ALL, I have to unbutton them. Love it with the denim.

Adorable sweater BTW, and I adore price adjustments ;-)

WOW! Dotty Fabness! I agree that the collar works both ways, with buttoned up being a bit more on trend. I would choose whichever feel most comfortable though since they both look great! Yeah for Nordies customer service too!

So perfect, I love that sweater! I like the shirt both ways. For me I usually go unbuttoned, otherwise I feel like I'm being strangled.

  • Kalli replied 11 years ago

I love wearing this kind of look with the button because it is like everyone has mentioned, more on trend. However, on a comfort level, sometimes I unbutton anyways!

By the way, you look amazing in the polka dots with denim shirt under.

Wow! denim on denim with some polka dots. So fun and trendy. Both buttoned and unbuttoned options look great. WHich one do you like?

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

Oh super cute, I like unbuttoned!

  • Thistle replied 11 years ago

I like it unbuttoned best. Fab sweater, and how I love Nordie's!

Unbuttoned for now. Buttoned with a necklace;)
I love the sweater on you!

  • Lisa replied 11 years ago

I'm with Zap, buttoned with a necklace but unbuttoned is fine too. Sweater looks great on you, nice idea to layer with all denim.

Big thumbs up! This is perfect for you --- fun, fab and practical, too!

fun...i really like the oversized dots. outfit is very youthful. is that ok?

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

    LOVE this. Either way.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

@BJ, do you think it's the oversized dots that take this into youthful territory?
Also, do you think it's youthful/fun or youthful/juvenile? I think I am dressed slightly more sophisticated than the average HS or college student, but maybe I am wrong...

  • replied 11 years ago

BJ, do you think it looks youthful here too?

not young, youthful, fun, vibrant. it's not the oversized dots. actually, i think that dot size is quite sophisticated. it's the whole i'm cool and i know it vibe that i think is very youthful.

i know you work with young people so not sure if this is a work outfit.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

That helps! It is a quiet time of the term so I think I am ok going a bit more casual.

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

I don't think juvenile when I see this. I like the look, and you are a young woman.

I like the shirt both ways. The buttoned look is a little more fashion-conscious while unbuttoned feels more easy and casual.

Fab outfits MG and Zap. I love dots of all sizes and the sweater looks good with the denim on denim but a bit more sophisticated in Zap's version with the white shirt and black pants.

  • catherine replied 11 years ago

Wow. That is such a sweet combo. Both ways look great.

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

Adorable, and while I like both, my immediate, first impression was buttoned. So cute!

  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago

No good here - I like both.

  • Charmian replied 11 years ago

The entire look is both trendy and casual, but you can choose to highlight one or the other aspect with one simple button. How awesome is that?

Both looks look great to me!

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

I like it both ways but will vote buttoned. I don't think it looks too youthful at all - it looks great on you!

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

Fun sweater, and I vote buttoned-up! Love the denim-on-denim going on underneath, too.

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

It makes such a difference to have met people in person - I can just picture you IRL looking SO fantastic in this outfit. It's so happy and boppy-cool, I'm just smiling. I like it closed if you can stand to button but both work really well.
