WIW playing around with statement necklaces

I've been pretty much off of jewelry these days but I decided to try some matchy-matchy jewelry outfits.

Sunday (1)- mother's day outfit. I didn't have a chance to catch a full shot but hopefully you get the idea. The colors of the necklace go perfectly with the dress.

Today (2/3)- debut of my Ann Talyor dot dress with brights. I added a coordinating handbag and pile up of necklaces. Actually it is the same statement necklace from yesterday but in a different color. Bonus shot of all the girls in the family together this morning.

I'd love to hear your suggestions. Have a great day!!

I really am enjoying seeing you playing around with the statement jewelry. Both great looks and the turquoise acents were just the right "POP" for the AT dot dress!

MG, I bet you're the most fun mom on the block with these looks! Love how they combine function, color, and style.

All your "girls" are just adorable Rita!

I love both of these dresses and really like the statement necklaces with them - particularly the turqoise with your second outfit!

Both dresses and outfits are 10s!

Thanks ladies! I'm having fun with some accessories, dresses and flats right now.

@Celia, the necklaces are Calypso St. Barth's for Target from last summer. I think I bought out the whole collection except the earrings which were too heavy for me.

@IK, I feel better in a dress than sweats and a t-shirt, even on the playground. Just have to remember to pop biker shorts on underneath the airy summer dresses :)

I really like your dresses, especially the AT one. It looks great with the bright cardigan, beads and the blue bag - just the right balance of neutrals and brights.

    #3 is a great shot!

Such fresh and pretty springtime outfits! My matchy matchy self is sighing with happiness at your turquoise cardi and bag and necklace combo! Are the dots turquoise too? Your family shots in #1 & 3 are so cute--your kids are so sweet. And I'm glad I'm not the only mom dressed up at the park!

Gorgeous! You really rock statement necklaces :-)

I think matchy matchy is making a big comeback! So both those necklace piles are really just one statement necklace? How cool! I like a necklace pile, but I don't like when they get tangled.

Beautiful necklaces! The first one ties in so well with the dress and I adore all the blue pops of color in that second outfit! Those are very cute dresses also!

Bet you were the best dressed mom in the park! I am living vicariously in dresses through you and some of the other YLF dress fans. I wish I could tag along and shop with dresses with you as I am just never confident with the fit and what to look for.

Statement necklaces are so fun and really make the outfits for me!

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

Rae, yes they are all one necklace. Somehow the strands manage to stay untangled.
