WIW leopard as a neutral

Why not have a little fun with the work wardrobe? I am wearing my coral h&m cropped blazer with a leopard cowl neck and the Ann Taylor ponte skinnies. These are beginning to be my favorite work pants. I may need to duplicate them. How do you all feel about other colors of ponte pants besides black? Too much like sweatpants for work?

Hi. This outfit works for me! I like the juxtaposition of coral and leopard; that choice of one popping color over a mostly monochromatic ensemble...have got to try, because it's obviously a great formula. I have no idea about the other ponte colors.

What a fab outfit! You look amazing!

I have no hatred for colored ponte pants as long as they are reasonably heavy and not even a little baggy.

I'm crushing on that jacket Rita - and I love with the leopard print and the ponte pants. I'm personally not a huge fan of coloured ponte pants but that doesn't mean they wouldn't work for you.

LOVE. The proportions of this are so great on you. I love how you can look as if your legs go on for miles when you are wearing boots and a shorter jacket. It is a fantastic look for you.

I don't know about ponte pants but these look great!

This *is* fun! I love the jacket with the leopard print. I don't know anything about ponte pants - have never owned them - but now I want to rush out and try them! :)

You've struck two of my favorite chords: leopard and bright coral :-)

I love this sort of outfit because it's very current, cheerful and fun, and easy to actually wear all day (thanks ponte pants!)

I'm so selfconscious about my lower half, so I have no experience with non-black ponte. I like the way black detail is hard to see and plays down bumps or bulges.

If you're going for any color (even navy), I'd just be sure the fabric has enough body/weight to stay smooth.

Try the BR pants that made my list last month as a replacement maybe?

Love this outfit! You look happy and pretty.

  • modgrl replied 6 years ago

    Which BR pants, the Martins?

  • Debbie replied 6 years ago

Love this combination. You look great.

A beautiful outfit, Rita! I like the idea of animal print as a neutral. I haven't seen any colored ponte knit pants in the stores, but now I am going to keep my eyes peeled for them.

Modgrl, you look fresh and smart! This is all working. Other colors: how about white, brown, cobalt blue?

  • Nakidra replied 6 years ago

Love it!!! I am in love with the leopard with the bright cardi!!

Love the coral and animal combo! And the ponte knit pants are the best, aren't they? I got mine from Gap and they are still going strong.

I really like this outfit on you Rita. Those pants are a great fit and I love the pop of color with the jacket. It's kind of unexpected which makes it very appealing.

    Great outfit!!
I'im not convinced that colored ponte pants aren't too casual for work, as the other-than-black ones really do look very "knit," but.... considering I don't have any, take that with a grain of salt.

I want a H&M in my city, waaah!!

Luv this outfit! How about some camel colored ponte pants?

  • Andrea B. replied 6 years ago

    Oh, this combo is CUTE!

  • Stephanie replied 6 years ago

    très chic, Rita!

  • Jonesy replied 6 years ago

Gorgeous look! That color looks wonderful on you, and I love the leopard with the coral.

Re. ponte pants in colors: I can see going with dark charcoal gray maybe? Dark blue? Stay away from pastel pink ones worn with a scrunchie, though, IMHO :).
