WIW 80's fever pink

I'm loving my fever pink skirt. I'm so glad I sent back the other defective one. I wasn't planning to post this WIW. My husband must have mentioned like 5 times how much he liked this outfit so I thought it deserved an honorable mention. YLF comments and suggestions always welcomed!

Love it! Such a pretty colored skirt and I love the pairing with the chambray top!

Yowza! Such a pretty outfit -- I can see why your husband favors it!

Love the chambray and the touch of red belt.

I'm kicking myself for chickening out on this skirt :-\

That fever pink skirt is lovin' YOU!

  • cjh replied 12 years ago

Yes, fantastic paired with the chambray, you chose the right top. Love the red belt, too. Thanks for posting!

FABTASTIC!! So happy you persevered and had a happy skirt ending!

I have that Target chambray shirt and a similar belt and similar sandals. Am definitely going to have to copy this outfit!!

This looks flat-out incredible. I wish I looked like that in a pencil skirt. I just returned this skirt in two colors because of how it looked on me, and now I know I was right, because this is how it SHOULD look!

  • modgrl replied 12 years ago

Una this skirt doesn't work with flats and I know you don't wear heels. That is a problem with pencil skirts.

  • Lena replied 12 years ago

OMG, you look super FAB, Modgirl! Fresh and modern and very chic.

If I had this shade of pink in my closet, I'd wear it constantly with this shade of denim blue. I'm also loving your nude colored shoes in this combo. And the skirt's fit is perfection to my eye.

  • Marley replied 12 years ago

Oh my - this is just perfect in every way. The color combination with the belt and the nude shoes. I love it! And the fit of that skirt? Absolutely perfect. You look great!

Great outfit! Those shoes do lean pink, don't they? I have them, and it's been challenging to wear them with anything that has more of a brown/taupe tone in the outfit. they look amazing here.

heading up to look at the pink section (small, alas) of my closet!

  • Freckles replied 12 years ago

Your husband is totally right, you look amazing in this outfit. What a nice outcome for the skirt, sigh.

Love it! And I'm so glad you posted it, because I have a bright orange skirt I've been trying to figure out what to do with, and you've give me an idea!

  • Queen Mum replied 12 years ago

ooh, this outfit is just delicious! Hubby has a good eye.

  • modgrl replied 12 years ago

@Laurie, I don't try to match these shoes to anything. I wear them when I want more lift, leg and bombshell in my looks. For me they 100% neutral. Try them with any skirt outfit.

    You look fabulous!

This is a beautiful outfit on you! Love the fit of the skirt, and the mix is just perfect. Hubby is right :)!

  • Kyrania replied 12 years ago

I absolutely LOVE the pink on you! I have to pay closer attention to adding color to my wardrobe....still slowly working out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for the inspiration and I LOVE the fact that you are wearing yyour husband's belt....CUTE! ^_^

  • Vicki replied 12 years ago

Love this outfit on you, mixing the fever pink with the chambray!

  • modgrl replied 12 years ago

I am wearing a variation of this outfit today. I'm afraid to post it now, YLFers are going to think I only have 1 skirt!

I am a big fan of repeating something that works as often as possible :)

  • MsMary replied 12 years ago

Don't ever be afraid to post! I love that skirt and love getting ideas from you!

Plus I'm always surprised how many people had missed the repeated outfit the first time around so it's new to them!

P.S. I'm wearing the turquoise version today. You seriously need to get one. Just sayin.

  • DressLover replied 12 years ago

You can wear this skirt once a week as far as I'm concerned. It is that awesome on you.

  • modgrl replied 12 years ago

OMG the rio red is already sold out in my size! I am shedding a small tear right now. I pulled the trigger on the turquoise. I can't risk loosing that one.

  • MsMary replied 12 years ago

    Awesome!

FWIW, I returned the rio red because it wasn't a true bright red and I felt like since I already had the purple magenta and the fever pink it didn't add all that much to my wardrobe.

    But the turquoise? Awe. Some.
