Those are beauties! Pretty classic style so could be wearing for years and years if you love pink.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Need shmeed...with your shoe size, I'd BBQ with these pretty babies!

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

    Yes yes yes! Buy themmmmmmmm!

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

Shannon, I was counting on you talking me off the ledge, not pushing me over!! I have to think on this one.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

NO Rita. Put the shoes away. You don't need these. They are hideous. You'll hate them. And they'll probably hurt your feet.

    (is that better?)

In all seriousness, I know how finding your size can be difficult and often when you've searched for certain footwear, they don't carry it for you. Mind you, they are pumps which you had indicated you were "over" style wise.

If you are a mod girl...let me think.... YES! Isn't this exactly the type of pop art loveliness that a mod would love? Black, white, color block. Good golly these could be fun!

    Updated: OMG those are beautiful!

    Updated, Updated: (Indistinct drooling sounds)

Inge has these in blue and I almost bought them in pink! They are SO comfy. Runs true to size. Kate makes GREAT heels.

(As you know the citron stilettos with the stripey heels are what I ended up getting for the wedding in Japan).

  • Inge replied 11 years ago

I'm going out and was about to shut down the computer when I saw this thread. Rita, Angie is SO right. I have these pumps in blue and am so pleased with them. I'm not used to wearing heels this high, but they are the most comfortable high heels I've ever had on my feet. I also love that it's a stacked heel, to me it's a bit more spunky and modern than a classic stiletto. Plus, the patent leather is high-quality and the cobalt blue is stunning. I also love the hot pink and am absolutely convinced the colour would go with so much more than you can think of right now. These shoes are chic, elegant and timeless, and if it's difficult to find fab pumps in your size, then I vote go for it.

    OK... enabling done for tonight;-)

  • ironkurtin replied 11 years ago

I wear my hot pink shoes a lot.

  • Jilly replied 11 years ago

Love that hot pink color - if they're in your budget, I think they would be really fun.

  • Lisa replied 11 years ago

You will rock these shoes. And if you have a hard to find size, I say snatch up this fun pair.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

See? I'm not the only one talking ya over Rita (lol)

  • lyn* replied 11 years ago

Oh-ho! If they were in my size, I'd totally snap them up! :) (and I wasn't on May Madness, of course!)

  • DonnaF replied 11 years ago

Since they are from Nordstrom's, if they don't play as well with your wardrobe as you hope they will since some pinks can be tricky, returning them won't be too bad.

  • rae replied 11 years ago

You always advise others to BBQ on HTF sizes - I will gladly return the favor. I think MaryK has shown that hot pink shoes are remarkably versatile.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

@Angie, Inge and other hot pink and KS owners, thanks for chiming in.

@Donna, I'm sure I would have no problem styling these lovelies. The problem is really that they are about 10x what I am used to paying for pumps!

  • K. Period. replied 11 years ago

But you'll wear them five times as often and they'll be twice as comfortable! 5 X 2 = 10. Done.

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

"One" does not, but YOU do!

  • citygirldc replied 11 years ago

YES!! Pink goes with everything: black, navy; white.

  • marianna replied 11 years ago

Oh yes! Please get them. I know how rare it is to find our "special sizes" so I say snap them up quickly!

  • Jonesy replied 11 years ago

If you love them and you will wear them a lot,
    and you can afford them,
    then why not?

  • Jenava replied 11 years ago

Pink is a neutral, in my book!

  • MsMary replied 11 years ago

I have gotten a ton of wear out of my pink Kates. I vote "BBQ!"

  • replied 11 years ago

    YOU need hot pink shoes!!!

  • replied 11 years ago

BBQ Kate spade makes a good shoe. I have a pair of wedge pumps. Those are the shoes i get the most compliments on. Worth every penny and that tone of pink goes with everything.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

Sad news! They are super uncomfortable. I might size up but I'm not sure if it would help.

  • cciele replied 11 years ago

Oh no! Sorry to hear they are uncomfortable :( Would any inserts help?

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

OH NO!!!!!!! Are they too small or just uncomfortable? Oh Rita....this is not good...

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

They are kind of tight -- shoes always are on me! There isn't much room for an insert unless I size up but I think this is my right size. I am afraid to be stuck with a $200 orphan.

  • replied 11 years ago

    Really ? How sad.
Hopefully the size up works. My KS wedge pumps are 1/2 larger, since I went by the reviews, but you know what, they kind of stretched with wear. Now I'm forced to wear an insole if I do hose. Perhaps these will stretch too? I have to be honest though. I don't keep any shoe at this price point if it is not comfortable from the get go, so I understand the $200 orphan issue.
Hopefully Angie and Inge can chime in.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

I am with you Zap, I am finding it hard to want to experiment with insoles. My $30 target pumps are comfy right out of the box.

  • replied 11 years ago

    Amen to that.

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

I was ready to jump on the pink bandwagon for you, but at that price point, fit should be perfect and makes the decision much more difficult. They ARE cute and timeless classics.

  • Inge replied 11 years ago

    How frustrating, Rita-(
For me it was the opposite - which confirms once again that every foot is different. I am anywhere between a US size 8 and 9, depending on the brand. I needed a size 8 in the Shelly pumps (walked right out of the 9), and these fit perfectly. No pinching or tightness, but no gaping either.

I hope Angie chimes in with her thoughts on sizing up, but I agree that shoes at this price point (and any shoe really), should fit well and feel great without too much doctoring.

  • rae replied 11 years ago

I saw from my other thread that these didn't work - soooo sorry! I think you would know it if they were simply too small... up to you how hard you want to try, I guess. Personally, shoes are the last thing I want to fight with to make them wearable. :T

  • velvetychocolate replied 11 years ago

Ack! Sorry to read that these fab pink shoes aren't comfortable for you :( I hate that, when I get all excited about something and then it doesn't work out.

I don't think you should 'try' to make them work. Send them back.

Inge is right, every foot is different and all the brands are quite different from each other. I take different sizes in different brands, and have found that even some of the most highly recommended for being comfortable aren't necessarily comfortable for me.

Hang in there...we'll all just have to go on pink shoe finding mission. If I see anything in my shoe shopping travels, I'll be sure to post on YLF.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

It sounds like you need to size up, Rita. Often one needs to in a KS pump - although in these particular pumps, my normal size 6.5 was perfect. The rest of my KS pumps are a 7.

    Can you exchange them?

  • nicoleb replied 11 years ago

I hope it works out for you somehow!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

Uh oh - now I'm worried about mine Rita after reading Angie's comment about tending to size up for KS.

Are you going to try and exchange for a size up? I think if you can, it would be worth trying. I know how excited you were about them.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

It doesn't look like the next size up is available right now. I may try to call on it today.

  • replied 11 years ago

    They are beautiful shoes.
